Would you like to save both money and energy, the double whammy? The City of Kirkland is offering a free opportunity to hear from a panel of specialists. Come to Kirkland City Hall to hear about ways you can help save energy, and ultimately money, when you remodel.
Some reasons why I think it’s worth attending this free panel:
Saving energy will save you money
Cutting down on your energy usage will cut down on your monthly utility bills, period.
Energy tax credits are still available through 2010.
The existing home incentives are now calculated at 30% of the cost of the installation, up to the $1,500 cap. The legislation is unclear on whether this includes both equipment and labor, however previous IRS rulings suggest that labor is NOT included.
If you install energy conscious updates, this will be more attractive to buyers when you sell your home. People are far more energy conscious and looking for ways to save money. Energy costs are more important to buyers than they have been in the past.
Spend your money wisely. Whether you’re doing a remodel or simply updating systems, be conscious of how much you can save by choosing remodeling plans and systems that will save money and energy over time.
